Two gendarme officers were killed when a mine laid by Kurdish separatists exploded in Bitlis province in eastern Turkey, security sources said on Thursday. Landmine kills soldier, injures four others

A soldier was killed and four others were wounded in a landmine blast Tuesday at a paramilitary police station blamed on separatist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), an official statement said. Nine PKK members killed in clashes

Nine members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have been killed in two separate clashes with the army in the southeast, announced the military Saturday. One of the clashes, in which four militants of the separatist PKK were killed, occurred overnight in a mountainous area in the province of Hakkari, bordering Iraq and Iran, a statement on the army's Web site said.     Readmore
