10 PKK terrorists killed in military operations in Sirnak Print E-mail

Turkish security forces killed 10 terrorists during an operation that was being carried out in the southeastern city of Sirnak, the governor’s office said in an official statement on Sunday.

The statement said that security forces had staged an operation against the terrorist organization – the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) – in the rural area among southeastern cities of Hakkari, Sirnak and van between July 13 AND 16.

According to the governor’s office, clashes erupted after the terrorists were asked to give up and hand themselves in, refusing to do so 10 PKK members were killed. Nine rifles, seven rocket launchers, 18 hand grenades and 25 kilograms of C3/C4 explosives were seized, added the governor’s office.
